I am the 23rd Police Commissioner of the City of Yonkers Police Department, where I have worked for more than 30 years. I am responsible for nearly 700 officers and administering a hundred and forty-million dollar budget. I am a former US Marine and Gulf War veteran. Upon leaving the Marine Corps, I sustained my commitment to public service with a career in law enforcement in my hometown. Some of the highlights of my career include participating in the rescue effort at Ground Zero, two papal visits, a presidential visit from President Biden, and most recently, a visit from Justice Sonia Sotomayor. I am the former president of the Captains, Lieutenants, and Sergeants, Association and I am a graduate of the 245th session of the FBI National Academy.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Policing and Emergency Management from SUNY Empire State University and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Mercy University. I also hold certificates from the University of Virginia and the Harvard Kennedy School. I have had a great experience with the HKS Executive Leadership program. I believe I have been and can continue to be a good conduit for HKS alumni. I have coordinated numerous fundraisers and charitable events and have an entire network at my disposal to host, coordinate, and facilitate future HKS alumni events. I am still in close contact with not only my HKS cohort, but also those from my various educational experiences. I look forward to applying my experience, resources, and enthusiasm as a potential member of the alumni board!
