Dave Baumwoll: Past Membership Chair

David Baumwoll is a former Assistant District Attorney now serving as a litigator in private practice. He also served as Associate Counsel for the NYC Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice where he worked to shape the city’s criminal justice policies related to guns, human trafficking, opioids, and prosecutor effectiveness. Prior to the law, he served as an elementary school teacher with Teach for America in Newark, NJ and served as an education program consultant with Newark Mayor Cory Booker. Additionally, David is the co-founder of an education technology start-up called Minque, a platform connecting user curiosity to expert video answers. David holds a BA from Tufts University, an MPP From the Harvard Kennedy School, and a JD from Rutgers Law School. While at HKS, David served as the President of the Kennedy School Student Government.
